McDowell took part in the competition of the 3rd Annual Celebrity Pickleball Challenge.  All on-court donations from the competition  benefitted The Go Campaign, which works to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children globally, while partnering with local grassroots organizers. They provide grants and resources for education, medical care, shelter, and food to create sustainable, long-term change in communities.
Collins called the organization “close to my heart,” in a social media post.
Desert Smash partnered with the US Tennis Association Foundation as the official beneficiary in 2026 – an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through the powerful combination of tennis, education and mentorship.
Other stars seen battling it out for a good cause over six, high-energy matches in the desert heat were SNL alumni Jon Lovitz and Cheri Oteri, model Sam Asghari, former Bachelor Matt James, and *NSYNC band member Lance Bass. The courts were also stacked with elite tennis and pickleball pros including world no.1 Ben Johns, fan favorite Tyson McGuffin, Jarvis Landry, Nick Kyrgios, and Jewell Loyd.
