One Battle After Another topped Tuesday’s (12/8/26) Golden Globe Awards nominations, receiving nine nominations Close behind are Sentimental Value and Sinners, each picking up multiple nods.
This quirky action comedy starring Oscar winners Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro. DiCaprio stars as Bob is a washed-up revolutionary living in a state of stoned paranoia and surviving off-grid with his daughter, Willa.

When his evil nemesis, Penn’s Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw, resurfaces and Willa goes missing, Bob tries to get the band back together to rescue her.
Sentimental Value, a family drama about a formerly renowned film director (Stellan Skarsgard) hoping to make his comeback. He has two daughters and their lives become more complicated when he casts a young Hollywood star in the role turned down by one of his children.
The drama from Norway received eight nominations.
Sinners, a vampire period piece set in the US South, starring Hailee Steinfeld and Michael B. Jordan, received seven nominations. Jordan received his first Globe nomination, although Steinfeld was overlooked. The majority of nominations went to writer and director Ryan Coogler, for Best Director and Best Screenplay.
On the television side, The White Lotus leads the pack with six nominations, with other series earning nods across categories.
One new addition this year is the category of Best Podcast, reflecting the shifting media landscape and the growing influence of audio storytelling.
The slate was revealed on Monday, December 8, 2025, in a live announcement by actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall.
The ceremonies will be broadcast on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. It will air at 8:00 p.m. Eastern / 5:00 p.m. Pacific on CBS, and will also be available via streaming on Paramount+.
